SAN DIEGO PIER 12
& BASE POINT LOMA

The Project

US Navy San Diego

Lee Composites supplied products for two projects in San Diego for the US Navy: Pier 12 and the Fuel Pier at Base Point Loma. We supplied 230 12ā€ diameter fiberglass pilings from 61 ft. to 66 ft. in length for the new U.S. Navy Pier 12 Replacement in San Diego, CA. The piles included a 20 ft. HDPE sleeve to help with abrasion from the marine camels. A portion of the piles at the end of the pier were filled with concrete by the contractor to give them the added stiffness desired by the owner.
