STATUE OF LIBERTY
DOCK REHABILITATION

The Project

Statue of Liberty Dock

Hurricane Sandy devastated the east coast, in October of 2012. Liberty Island was one of the locations directly hit, causing extreme damage to the Statue of Liberty visitor and service docks. During the first phase of the recovery project, more than 200 timber piles needed to be replaced for the service dock, in time for the July 4th reopening of the island and statue.
